The infrastructure will open for new research possibilities, allowing for internationally leading research on new, innovative production, characterization and applications for cellulosic building blocks
By development of green alternatives, the substitution of fossil-based chemicals and materials will give significant contributions to the reduction of emissions and contribute to the transformation of Norway to a low-emission society towards 2050.
NORCELlab is owned by RISE PFI
The laboratory will comprise three categories of infrastructure, all located in the same building (Høgskoleringen 6b, Trondheim): i) production and processing of micro- and nanocelluloses, ii) production of micro- / nanocellulose-based materials and structures and iii) characterization of micro- /
nanocelluloses and structures made thereof.
