Rheometer
The MCR 702e is a high-end versatile rheometer that can perform advanced tests. Its two air-bearing-supported rotational drive units enable you to perform measurements in both the Combined Motor Transducer and Separate Motor Transducer. Using these, you can perform classical stress-controlled tests or transient regime measurements like stress relaxation or start-up shear etc. It has a high speed of 6000 RPM and has precise temperature control up to 180°C.

The laboratory will comprise three categories of infrastructure, all located in the same building (Høgskoleringen 6b, Trondheim): i) production and processing of micro- and nanocelluloses, ii) production of micro- / nanocellulose-based materials and structures and iii) characterization of micro- /
nanocelluloses and structures made thereof.
