NORCELlab are in the process of installing and commissioning an ICS-6000 for carbohydrate analysis. This instrument will be a valuable addition to our analytical infrastructure and will strengthen our capabilities for advanced carbohydrate analyses such as monosaccharides, disaccharides, and oligosaccharides. The method combines high sensitivity with precise separation, enabling accurate quantification of individual components—even in complex samples—without the need for derivatization.

What we can analyze

We will also gradually develop methods for amino acid analysis.

The laboratory will comprise three categories of infrastructure, all located in the same building (Høgskoleringen 6b, Trondheim): i) production and processing of micro- and nanocelluloses, ii) production of micro- / nanocellulose-based materials and structures and iii) characterization of micro- /
nanocelluloses and structures made thereof.
